Bathroom Organization with Glass Jars
Let me show you some of my favorite ways to organize your bathroom using jars. These ideas are perfect for creating a spa-like feel while keeping everything tidy!

Soap and Hand Sanitizer Dispensers
You won’t believe how easy this is! Take a mason jar and fill it with Castile soap (I love using this natural soap because it does so many great things).

Then, grab one of those dispenser tops – I got mine from Amazon, but you can find them at Dollar Tree too. Just place it on top, and voila! You have a pretty soap dispenser for your bathroom.
I’m going to fill the mason jar with the soap. And then I’m going to take one of these dispensers. Now I got mine from Amazon, but you can find them at Dollar Tree as well. And I’m going to place it on top.

Now I have a pretty soap dispenser for my bathroom.

I do the same thing with hand sanitizer. Simply pour it into the jar and add the dispenser top. Now you can buy in bulk and have pretty containers while being eco-friendly at the same time!
In addition to hand sanitizer and soap, you could use body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, whatever you’d like.

Small Items Storage
Here are some of my favorite bathroom storage solutions:
- Keep Epsom salts in a pretty jar by the bathtub
- Use small jars for Q-tips – they look so neat and tidy!
- Store cotton balls in a medium-sized mason jar
- Keep your scrunchies and hair accessories in a larger jar (I found the perfect one at a thrift store for just a dollar!)
- Use smaller jars for jewelry storage

- You can also make your own hand and body scrub with just a few ingredients. You’ll need a half a cup of salt, one quarter cup of avocado oil, one tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix it together and store it in a jar of your choice. I’m using a mason jar. You can find this tutorial at Easy and Remarkable Homemade Hand Scrub with Video
Kitchen Storage and Organization Ideas
The kitchen is where glass jars really shine! Let me share all my favorite ways to use them for kitchen organization.

Dish Soap and Cleaning Supplies
Here’s a game-changer – pour your Dawn dish soap into a large mason jar and add one of those soap dispenser lids. It makes doing dishes so much easier!

I also use jars to store dishwasher tablets after my original container broke. It works perfectly and looks much nicer!

Now it’s easy to just grab one and place it into my dishwasher.

Seasoning and Spice Storage
Did you know you can take Parmesan lids and put them on reusable jars? It’s perfect for seasonings! I buy my seasonings in bulk, label the jars (this one’s pepper!), and use special Ball jar lids that screw on for easy dispensing. I even store my homemade season salt this way!

Pantry Organization Tips
Here’s something cool I discovered – you can actually bring mason jars to grocery stores! Most stores will subtract the weight of the jar before you fill it up with bulk items. I love doing this for things like nuts, oats, and granola. It’s such a great way to shop sustainably!

I also use jars for storing coffee pods, dried fruits, and all our favorite snacks. It makes everything so easy to see and grab when you need it.

Making the Most of Kitchen Storage
You wouldn’t believe how many ways you can use jars in the kitchen! I love keeping my cooking utensils in a big jar right on the counter where I can easily grab them while I’m cooking.

For family dinners, I sometimes put silverware in mason jars on the table – it looks cute and makes it super easy for everyone to grab what they need.

One of my favorite tricks is using a large jar as an ice bucket when we have parties. It works perfectly!
And for everyday storage, I keep things like garlic and onions in jars on my counter. Not only does it keep them fresh, but it adds a nice farmhouse touch to my kitchen.

Organizing the Home Office
My office used to be such a mess until I started using jars! Now I have everything organized just the way I like it. I keep all my pens and markers in one jar, paper clips and rubber bands in another, and I even have a special jar for my pressed penny collection! It’s amazing how something so simple can make such a big difference in keeping everything tidy and easy to find.

Organizing Collections and Special Memories
You know what’s really fun? Using jars to display all those special little treasures we collect! I absolutely love how I can use them for my pressed penny collection. I just place them into a jar with one of those piggy bank lids on top – it’s perfect because I can keep adding to my collection, and it looks so pretty sitting on my shelf!

And speaking of memories, let me tell you about my favorite vacation keepsake idea. Whenever we go to the beach, I bring home a little sand and some shells, then arrange them in a clear jar. It’s like having a tiny piece of our beach trip right there in our home! I’ve done this for several trips now, and each jar tells its own story.

Repurpose Glass Jars for Household Cleaners
If you like to make your own cleaning products, glass jars are the perfect containers to store them. From homemade cleaning solutions to scrubbing brushes, glass jars can help you keep everything in one place and organized.

Here I’ve added baking soda to a jar with a shaker lid and I can use it to deodorize my trash cans, and I can and hide it behind a toilet to help absorb odors. It’s a great odor eater.

Terrarium for Organizing Plants
You’re right—terrariums are a wonderful way to organize plants, especially if you have multiple small plants that need a tidy, compact space. Terrariums also add an organized, clean look to your indoor plants, which can help reduce clutter in a space while creating a beautiful, low-maintenance display. We can weave this in as a way to organize greenery in a room.

Lamp for a Cozy, Organized Space
A lamp can fit into the organizational theme by focusing on how lighting helps set the mood in an organized room. It can be positioned as part of a well-organized living or workspace, making the area both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

DIY Light as a Functional Decor Item
A DIY light can serve as both decor and a functional organizing item. For example, a DIY light made from a mason jar (or similar container) can hold items like pens, pencils, or makeup brushes in a stylish way, while also providing light. This ties into your overall home organization by combining storage and function.
Which one do you like better, the one with the light in the top or bottom? Let me know in the comments below.

Making It All Work: My Best Tips
Let me share some of my favorite tips I’ve learned along the way. First, always make sure to clean your jars really well before using them. The great thing is, they’re totally dishwasher safe! When I’m using them for food storage, I give them an extra good cleaning just to be safe.
For leftovers, these jars are absolute lifesavers. You can store food right in the refrigerator, and when you’re ready to heat it up, just take off the lid, cover it with a paper towel, and pop it in the microwave. So much better than using plastic containers!
I’ve found that organization works best when you think about how you’ll use things. I keep my most-used items at eye level, and I always use clear jars so I can easily see when something’s running low. Labels are your best friend here – trust me on this one! I like to group similar items together, and I choose jar sizes based on how much of each item I typically need.

Where to Find Great Jars
You don’t have to spend a fortune on jars – I promise! I’m always saving jars from pasta sauce and other foods we buy. But my favorite place to look is thrift stores – you wouldn’t believe the amazing jars I’ve found for just a dollar! Dollar Tree is another great option, and sometimes I ask friends and family to save their jars for me too. When craft stores have sales on mason jars, I stock up!

Getting Started: What You’ll Need
To make your jar organization system work beautifully, you’ll want to grab a few supplies. I use pump tops for my soap dispensers (you can find these on Amazon or at Dollar Tree), and those shaker lids are perfect for seasonings. A label maker is super helpful – I use mine all the time! Of course, you’ll need different size jars for different purposes, and don’t forget to keep some cleaning supplies handy for preparing your jars.

Why I Love Using Jars
The best part about organizing with glass jars isn’t just how pretty they look – though that’s definitely a plus! It’s knowing that I’m doing something good for the environment too. Every time I reuse a jar instead of buying a new plastic container, I’m reducing waste and making a more sustainable choice for my home. It feels good to know that something so simple can make such a big difference!
I like to tell people who are just starting out to take it slow – maybe begin with one area of your home and see what works best for you. Make sure you choose the right size jars for what you’re storing (I learned this the hard way!), keep similar items together, and don’t forget to label everything clearly. Trust me, it makes life so much easier!
I hope these ideas have inspired you to look at those glass jars in a whole new way! They’re such amazing tools for keeping your home organized and beautiful. What area of your home will you organize first? I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments below!
