I found these baskets 2 for $2 at Walmart. I used Command Hooks and hung them up on the wall in my bathroom for a little extra storage.

1. DIY Wall Storage with Baskets

I love an easy storage solution! Grab some command hooks and two Dollar Tree baskets. Stick the hooks to the wall and place the baskets right on them—boom, instant shelves! Perfect for washcloths, hand towels, or anything small that needs a home.

Stack and overlap two cabinet storage shelves. Secure the shelves together with zip ties at four places, and cut off excess. Hang the rack vertically on the wall using a nail or Command hooks. Roll up towels and place them between the legs of the rack. Use a dollar store bin to store flip-flops by placing them in a V shape. Stack the flip-flops in the bin for an easy and inexpensive organization solution.

2. Quick & Easy Towel Rack

Need a spot to hang towels? Pick up two Dollar Tree shelf liners, zip-tie them together, and secure them to the wall with nails or more command hooks. Slide your towels right in! You can even swap the liners for small crates if you want a sturdier version. Need something even bigger? Try using large storage bins and screwing them into the wall for a more permanent fix.

You can hang just about anything you want on this rod or use it as a drying rack for small delicates.   I'm going to hang a towel as well as my cleaning gloves.  You could easily hang other things like paper towels or perhaps your cleaning rags.   Maybe you have some lost socks. Any of these are possibilities.

3. Organized Laundry Storage

Storage baskets aren’t just for organizing your pantry—they work great in the laundry room, too! I hung a towel rack and added bins for sorting supplies like dryer sheets, stain removers, and clothespins.

I was able to put some of the back up supplies in the back as well.

4. Drawer Organization Made Easy

Those little packs of baskets from Dollar Tree? They’re game-changers for drawer organization! Mix and match different sizes to fit your drawers perfectly. I use them for everything—kitchen utensils, office supplies, even my bathroom drawers! You can see my turorials in my post:

5. Drink Station Organization

Tea lover? Grab one of those skinny baskets, fill it with your favorite tea mixes, and place it inside a larger basket for the ultimate drink organization. While you’re at it, grab a book holder or magazine rack to store travel mugs and water bottles—no more toppling cups!

6. DIY Bookshelf with Dollar Tree Bins

For this one, I stacked three bins vertically and stuffed pool noodles behind them for extra stability. Then, I hot-glued everything together. To make it more polished, I cut foam board to size, covered it with contact paper, and added poster board inside to keep things from falling through the holes. Secure it to the wall, and now you have an adorable little bookshelf—bonus points if you add a coffee station on top!

All of these dollar store baskets came from Dollar Tree. Start by gluing 3 of the same sized basket together. After hot gluing to initially get them together I did place some E6000 for a more secure hold and let it dry.

Here is another version I created. I bought these dollar store baskets from Dollar Tree. Start by gluing 3 of the same sized basket together. After hot gluing to initially get them together I did place some E6000 for a more secure hold and let it dry.

Cut strips of pool noodle to go between the baskets and hot glue into place. This will help the baskets stand up straight. For the bottom I cut a section of pool noodle and then cut it in half. I hot glued the flat part of the noodle (so the rounded part would go on the floor) to the what would become the bottom of the storage shelf.

The next step in this dollar store hack is to cut strips of pool noodles to go between the baskets and hot glue them into place. This will help the baskets stand up straight. I hot glued the flat part of the noodle (so the rounded part would go on the floor) to what would become the bottom of the storage shelf.

Add some dollar store bins inside your shelf and you have some extra storage where you might need it. This is an example of bathroom storage but you could also fill the baskets with toys and use it as toy, bedroom, craft storage, etc.

Add some plastic baskets (I used different colors) inside your shelf and you have some extra storage bins where you might need it. Isn’t this a great Dollar Tree hack? It could be used for so many things this is an example of bathroom storage but you could also use it for toys, bedrooms, craft storage, etc.

I stopped by Dollar Tree, grabbed a few supplies, and made this simple small coffee bar. This is great for so many spaces in your home!

7. Multi-Purpose Storage Caddy

I stained some Dollar Tree bins using Folk Art Home Decor Wood Tint and glued them together to create a cute little organizer. It works for coffee and tea supplies, kitchen spices, or even arts and crafts materials. How would you use it? Let me know in the comments!

I found these wire baskets at Walmart for $2 apiece. They do sell wire trash cans at the Dollar Tree which would also work for this project. I flipped one trash can upside down and put E6000 on the bottom.

8. Side Table from Trash Bins

Yes, you read that right—trash bins can become a chic side table!

I placed the other trash can right side up on top of the 1st trashcan so that the 2 bases touched. You have a couple choices for the last step... you can just rest a pizza pan on the top so that you can still get into the top basket for storage, or you can E6000 the pizza pan to the top for a more secure hold.

Flip one bin upside down, glue another on top, and place a pizza pan on top.

I now have a little side table that can be used inside or outside.

Leave the pizza pan removable for storage inside, or glue it down for a permanent tabletop.

Our winter gear storage is in these dollar store bins hung up with command hooks. You can see the full tutorial here on this project

9. Seasonal Storage for Hats & Gloves

Assign each family member a Dollar Tree trash bin, label it, and hang it on the wall using command hooks. During winter, use it for hats and gloves. Swap it out in the summer for flip-flops, sunglasses, or pool gear!

Stack two cake pans with marbles in between for an easy DIY Lazy Susan. Add baking racks on top for even more organization. Use it for arts and crafts, kitchen seasonings, or even a homework station for the kids!

You can use it in the bathroom for first aid kits, cleaning supplies, your blow dryer, curling iron, hair ties, and hair accessories

12. Transform Your Home with Dollar Tree Flower Basket Storage Hacks

So, here’s a fun little hack I tried—taking some flower baskets and placing them on a tomato cage. I added a few Dollar Tree bowls inside to keep things from falling through the gaps. It’s such a simple way to create unique storage for every room in your home! You won’t believe how versatile these baskets are.

Grab a dollar store bin for this simple and effective flip flop organization hack. Place your flip flops in a V shape inside the bin. Continue stacking the flip flops in the bin until they are all in place. This method provides an easy and space-saving way to store sandals and flip flops. Once organized in the bin, put it on a shelf for convenient access and a tidy storage solution.

13. Flip-Flop Storage Hack

Keep your flip-flops organized by placing them in a Dollar Tree bin in a V-formation. Stack them up, slide the bin onto a shelf, and you’ll never have to dig through a pile of shoes again.

Place four shower curtain rings on the top corners of each wire bin. Attach the bins together using the shower curtain rings. Hang the connected baskets using Command hooks or nails. Stack clothing or accessories in the baskets for organized storage.

14. Hanging Closet Organizer

Attach three wire bins together with shower curtain rings, then hang the whole thing from a closet rod. Use it for clothing, accessories, or whatever needs organizing in your closet.

My kid's bathroom has no drawers, we created more space by utilizing the back of the cabinet door for common items. We placed command hooks on the cabinet and then hooked on some dollar store baskets.

Clip small bins onto the inside of cabinet doors for extra storage. These are great for toothbrushes, sponges, makeup brushes—basically anything small that clutters up your space!

16. Stackable Storage Bins

Use Dollar Tree party trays as lids for storage baskets, making them stackable. Now you can maximize vertical storage in any room!

I wound all the cords together with a velcro tie and placed a command cord hook at the top that would keep all of the cords together so they're hidden and this helps keep my desk looking a little cleaner underneath.

17. Hidden Cord Storage

Tired of messy cords? Place a plastic container inside a fabric storage bin and hide all your extension cords and chargers inside. It keeps everything tidy while looking stylish.

18 How to Turn a Dollar Store Basket into a Beautiful Storage Solution

I’m all about easy, budget-friendly hacks, and this one is no exception! Take a plain Dollar Store basket and make it look better for storage. I started by gluing a ribbon around the basket with a hot glue gun, then added a pillowcase (inside out) for a cozy, decorative touch. The fabric not only looks great but also adds a bit of extra structure to the basket. You can use it to store anything you need.
